So we are now in the last month of Autumn, and oh how I love Autumn.... has to be my favourite season (as long as the sun is shining). I'm kind of like a solar run person and don't operate well without my naturally assisted vitamin D lol. On another note, I SURVIVED THE SCHOOL HOLIDAYS - YAY!!! Running two weeks from easter, with quite a bit of cloud cover, I made it! We visited a few places we hadn't yet been down here in South Canterbury, as want to make the most of our last weeks here. As you'll see below, we got out in the bush (in the rain) over easter and also visited the Steam Punk Museum in Oamaru. Plus a spot of fishing in the middle of the holidays took us up near Twizel and Lake Pukaki, such an amazing place, I love our country so much! We did other things too, but made sure I wasn't over the top taking my camera with me too much (it annoys the kidlets at times, and I understand that). Hope you enjoy a little bit of us :) Steam Punk Museum, Oamaru Our most recent family photo - thanks to the mirrors inside the Portal With a quick stop at one of the lakes past Kurow, we head out to the beautiful Twizel area and views of Mt. Cook...... I hate this picture of me, yet love it at the same time..... I'm attempting a nice selfie with my hubby, but well.... as you see he's not looking (he hates his photo and is quite private). I'm struggling to hold my hefty camera and lens out far enough so it focuses and in my typical husband style he pulled my top out for a 'sneaky glimpse' - so this is us.... soooo us..... oh my goodness....... chins and all I gave up, this was as good as it gets! We even did the tourist thing for the kids and went and fed the salmon... We had a lovely warm sunny day, and then sat and fished and watched shooting stars that night in the very clear and sparkling sky....... simply perfect! (next time, I'll try to remember my tripod so I can capture that amazing milky way up there too!)
